Woohoo, its Friday y'all!
1. CRAWFISH!!!!! It's crawfish season and I have yet to have any! I need some crawfish!
2. Gotta love new toys. Had a 46"TV mounted above my Promethean board. Now I can feature apps or allow my kiddos to monitor their Class Dojo points LIVE!!!!!!
3. Yoga Pants!!!! I love my yoga pants. I don't do yoga, but I wear the pants! So comfy after a long day of teaching. I bought a new pair today!
4. This week I discovered that I need to cover foreshadowing and flashbacks with my fifth graders. Yep! Panic and stress sets in at this time when there is four weeks until testing. So I go searching for something fantastic. Nothing really stands out! Guess who is developing foreshadowing and flashback lessons this weekend?
5. Two of us work in the same school separated by a hallway. There are times that rarely see each other unless we make it a point to visit the other. Our other team member is down the road teaching in the middle school. We "hangout" through Google from time to time, but our main communication is our group text through the day and into the evening. Our text messages vary from the blog or tech things. However, it is the little conversations that aid us in making it through the day. We celebrate the accomplishments and "boo" the things that set us back. Plain and simple.... we just don't know how we made it through the day before our constant conversation via text message. It truly is the POWER OF 3.
Soooo.... you ladies in Louisiana, I take it?? Crawfish, ya'll, purple and yellow -- makes me wonder! ;) My sister lives down there, and your crawfish picture reminded me of our last visit (and introducing crawfish to my son).
ReplyDeleteLOVE the foreshadowing picture you used. And totally agree with you about comfy pants.
AWWWee... we gave it away! HAHA
DeleteI thought about using that picture with my fifth graders. Hopefully they get the point.
SO JEALOUS of your T.V.!! I'm dying to get one in my classroom.
ReplyDeleteAnd yoga pants...oh how I love them. I think they are one of the most important fashion discoveries of our time. :)
I'm pretty excited about the TV. It has taken only about 9 years for me to acquire a decent one. My kids LOVE it! Thanks for taking time to respond to our blog post. :)

Wow - that is one huge T.V. I had an old school T.V. in my room and had it taken out this year - just seemed too bulky.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am with you on the yoga pants. Comfy.....

I had an old school T.V. also. It was big and bulky. It also had a magnet run across about 1/3 of the screen causing the colors to be distorted over the screen. It was in sad shape, but I couldn't complain too much with free. lol! Thanks for taking time to respond to our blog post. :)
